The company was founded in 1927, by Mr and Mrs F Steele, with help from Mr C Staton, as a confectionery wholesale distributor, serving the Birmingham area.

Due to the success of the venture the business moved to a custom built warehouse on its current Oxhill Road site, in 1936, where it has continued to grow.

The business has since passed through the family and still remains family owned and run, by Mr A Staton and Mr I Pridey, great nephews of Mrs Steele.
